It is by far my favorite time of the year...to you all!
This is our elf, Charlie...if you have kiddos and don't have an elf on the shelf...you have to go get one and start this fun tradition. He leaves our house every night to go report to Santa at the North Pole how the kids were for the day and to pass along any Christmas wishes. He leaves after the kids are all asleep and returns (to a new spot) before the kids awake. The kids wake up every morning so excited to search for Charlie, he is usually up high, because if anyone touches him, his magic goes away and he will no longer be able to make the trip to the North Pole. If the kids start fighting or being naughty, I just remind them that Charlie is going to tell Santa and that is the end of it...brilliant! I think I need to create something similar... for all the other holidays like a magical Easter bunny, and a Leprechaun to keep this good behavior going the rest of the year. It is sold at the Hallmark stores go get one...
Here is another last minute idea for the kiddos...Picturica...a fun I Spy type game. I love it just as much as the kids...and for the adults a gift certificate to Jillyn Segroves Photography...ha ha, had to throw that in there...
So, it is Christmas time, enjoy it!! Sing all the carols like no one is listening to you...
and eat all those yummy treats like they are healthy for you...this is my famous "Christmas mix" batch 4, 2 more coming... (that is what New Years resolutions are for, to take off those few extra Christmas pounds).
Enjoy this Christmas season...I am off until after the New Year! God Bless!
